Depth

For Depth we did three different angles. Foreground/Background, Repetition and Leading Lines. In this project we looked for depth on the streets of San Francisco.  Foreground/Background, Repetition and Leading Lines. Foreground/Background you focus on something very close to you, and something in the background. It creates the illusion of depth, that you can clearly see that something is in the front and that something is in the back. Repetition is another technique we used to take photos. It would the same object or other thing over and over again but still leading you from the foreground to the background. Leading Lines was a technique that your eye would follow the line focused in the photo took the background. The first photo five photos you look at are examples of Leading Lines.  We took many of each and had to use different styles to take the photos. We took many of each and had to use different styles to take the photos.

                                                  These are the triangle photos.

Cityscapes- Rectangles

These are the Rectangle and Square shots.

Cityscapes- Circles

This time we practiced doing cityscapes. Circles, Triangles, Squares/Rectangles, and a combination of all of them. To capture captivating shots, I had to take from all different angles. The pictures below are circles, and the next few posts with be of the other shapes and combinations.

Photo Motion

We explored motion in many different ways. First we turned out all of the lights and shone white and colored lights, shaping them into figures, letters and tracing people's bodies. I set my shutter speed very low, and allowed the camera to get the full image. Another thing we did is shaking the camera to blur it and make lights or people seem like ghosts. The last thing we did was panning. You pan by focusing on one object while the rest of the image is blurry. It is very hard to accomplish. To do panning, I went to the corner of California St./Divisadero, and tried to pan the cars, buses, bikes, people and scooters as they go by. Instead of being the simple 'say cheese' photo that many of us do, we choose to do something different by having yourself move the camera or the image you are trying to capture move. This allows the picture to have more depth, than just a straight on picture.

3X3 Photo p

These pictures show the examples of three by three. Three by three is three different photos, from three different views revolving around one subject. In this case, my person or subject was Fatima. 3x3 allows you to shoot far distances and low distances or high distances and super close up. In this first photo, is a picture of Fatima's shoe, showing close up and from the ground. The next photo is from far away and she is jumping the air. The next photo is her from behind a medium distance away. The last photos are other photos I took.
