Abstract Rule of Thirds

Here is six photos that follow the rule of thirds idea, but are a bit twisted. They have more of an abstract whimsical look to them as opposed to the more strict 1/3 2/3 kind of photo that rule of thirds represents. I took photos of more unusual things, or from a different angle than the generic photo.

  1. Nice set of photos!! I especially like the one of the leaf on the sidewalk. Maybe next time try adding more contrast.

  4. I like your photos and the one of the chalk is great because it adds depth. I think you looked at the assignment in a new way and it reflected in the choices of the placement in the photos.

  5. I love your photos!! You have a very individual way of looking at the composition, depth and angles of a photo (in a very good way!!!). I love that you made boring objects like a washing machine interesting and unique! Great job with the assignment!
